Flower Girls!

My grandma ROCKS! I can't believe she made all of these! She is one talented lady :) They turned out SO awesome!!

Invites are out!

This feels like my biggest accomplishment so far! With our designer brains combined, we were able to finish our invites AND get them out by the six week mark! Thanks to my printer, Gilson Graphics who endured my pain of putting them all together! My very own Usherette, Jenn Maine, also ROCKED by helping me stuff and lick them...over a few glasses of wine of course :) So, if some of you are missing something...we may have your answer, folks.

Modified Centerpieces

So, my original centerpiece plan was canned when I somehow thought "It would be really simple to cut a 24" diameter tree into slices, right?!" NOT. This is the alternative my dad came up with and I actually like it a LOT better!

Sweet. Victory :)

After MUCH debate whether or not we could fit he candy buffet table into the "Big Kahuna"...I am happy to report, it was a sweet victory for Angela :)

Engagement Photos!

We are SO excited that our good friend, Paul Carlson, is our photographer for the wedding! We did a little road trip around Grand Rapids to some of our favorite spots. We captured some great shots in our new home, devouring some frozen yogurt, cruisin' with the top down and Reeds Lake, where we jumped the fence to the Marina to get some dock shots. One of the boat owners let us steal some shots in his vintage convertible! What a nice guy!

Haven't seen them? Check them out here! http://paulcarlsonstudio.com/blog/?p=938

Warm and Fuzzy :)

Aw, how cute. Our first piece of mail addressed to "Satterlee Family" Pretty cheesy, eh?

Ceremony Flowers

Experimenting with some jars I picked up from St. Vinny's last weekend. I think they would make awesome pew decorations. Whatcha think?

Flower Girl shirts

So, I have been trying to find these iron on gems that spell out "flowergirl". Amy and I searched the aisles of every craft store last Saturday before finally giving up. So, I got a little crafty with these and I think they turned out even better than I had pictured. Eat that JoAnne Fabrics :)

My little treasures :)

So, what better does a crazy bride have to do on a Saturday night? Why, wash 120 jars and vases of course! We will be using these for the ceremony centerpieces, so if anyone has any little container with old vintage character they are willing to part ways with, please let us know! We are about half way to the amount we need.

Jars for the candy buffet. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the one that is temporarily holing our potatoes!

Love you all!

To my beautiful ladies and a gent :)

My choice in bridesmaids (and one groomsmen) was simple. I often get the jaw-drop-dear-in-the-headlights look when asked how many bridesmaids I have. It quite entertaining, actually. The fact of the matter is, you have all been a huge part of my life and I can't imagine going through my wedding day without you.

Flowers

I am SO excited that my very good friend, Sasha Tootla, will be helping coordinate the wedding. She has been an absolute lifesaver so far. She helped me find a florist who will be making some amazing flower arrangements! (Yes, I changed my mind on the feathers.... surprised?!)

My bouquet (The girls will have mini versions of these!)

My favorite part :)

Brandon and I were able to drive to New Buffalo last night to taste test food for the wedding. Let me tell you...it was well worth the drive. Danielle is the owner of "Maison Cuisine" and proudly uses fresh organic vegetables and meats from local farmers. She even drives to Chicago the day of the wedding to pick up fresh baked breads from a local bakery! Two words: Pretzel Bun.

Some insider info: Danielle also makes everything fresh on site. Appetizers will include a cheese plate, fresh guacamole, a (to die for) mango salsa and homemade hummus.

This makes me SO hungry!

Table Settings!

I am SO excited about these! Brandon and I have been collecting random jars for a long time to use for our centerpieces. We are using a white burlap for the linens ( Now taking volunteers to help cut enough for 40 tables :) and having wood slices cut as the base to the centerpieces.

We also received our Verterra plates which I LOVE. Frank loves them too...I now have 247 thanks to him :)

Yes, I'm a dork and wanted to see what food looked like on the plates :)

Makin' some letters.

So here is a project that turned a bit messy. These are for the back of our chairs. One will be yellow polka dot, the other a flower pattern. Thanks to Frank, he decided to take a nice chunk out of the letter "B", so I never got to finish...but had fun practicing.

I love packages!

I have a sick obsession with packages lately! I love getting them so much that I strategically order things so that I get them everyday :)

We LOVE our bambu dinnerware! We also bought some amazing Verterra plates...to come in a later post! "Enjoy"...oh, I will :)

Flower Girls

Our flower girls are my adorable cousins Corrine and Claire and Brandons niece, Erica. In addition, we have asked my cousin Karle and Brandon's niece, Hannah to do the readings at the ceremony.

I am SO excited about the girls dresses! My Grandma, the sweetheart that she is, is making all of the girls dresses. I can't wait to see how they turn out!

The fabric!
